Ava Elizabeth

Today was a very exciting moment, something that only experience can truly describe. Nicole began having contractions in the afternoon. I went to a REC board meeting in the evening and came home to find Nicole still having contractions (tracking them on the computer). We went to the hospital and arrived at 10:30. Nicole walked up the stairs to the maternity ward and we waited for the doctor. At 11:30 he arrived and announced that the baby would arrive within an hour. Ava Elizabeth was born at 12:52 am July 23. A beautiful baby girl! Everything was great and Nicole and her were taken to a room to sleep while I drove home in the middle of a night through a thunderstorm.
